Mathematics GCSE Course
Completing a Mathematics GCSE qualification gives an internationally recognised standard in education. With the brand new Mathematics Edexcel syllabus, students are required to complete a range of units to develop their knowledge of mathematical principles and calculation skills. This course allows students to study all of the requirements for the Edexcel GCSE in Mathematics (1MA1) and perfect their skills through activities, assignments as well as mock examinations, all with the assistance of a professional tutor.

Mathematics GCSE Units
Unit 1- Numbers
Throughout this first part of the course we will look at number theory and mathematical basics that will be used in the rest of the course. We will look at how values are represented in mathematics and the different ways we can work with integers, decimals and fractions. A strong knowledge of mathematical vocabulary is vital for success in this field so we will cover a range of operators and symbols.
Unit 2-Ratios, Interest and Measurement
In this second part of the course we will focus on ratios, interest and measurements. These are used very often in mathematics and the skills that we use here will be used throughout the remainder of the course in a number of ways.
Unit 3- Algebra
Algebra is a huge area of mathematics and involves a number of different aspects. In a basic sense, algebra is the replacing of certain values with letters when they are unknown. However, algebra has a huge number of applications and uses, some of which we will consider here.
Unit 4- Geometry
Geometry is the study of angles and shapes within mathematics. In this part of the course we will focus on how geometry can be used for a variety of different reasons and how we can use shapes in two and three dimensions to show many different situations.
Unit 5- Probability
Using probability is something that will help you to understand situations where different outcomes are possible. In this part of the course we will cover many different areas of probability so that you have a great understanding into this vast area of mathematics.
Unit 6- Statistics
In this part of the course we will look at statistics and how to go about gathering and representing data. We will look at the correct procedures for carrying out surveys and experiments and then move on to how we use this information.
Unit 7- Further Numbers and Equations
In this section of the course we will look further at numbers and indices to improve our understanding of these concepts from earlier modules on this course. Here we will look into complicated theories and move on to building mathematical proofs.
Unit 8- Advanced Trigonometry and Geometry
In this final module on your course we will be looking further into trigonometry and geometry. The techniques that we will go over here are higher level and will help you to further develop your knowledge of mathematical process theories.
