Unit one gives invaluable information to assist the practitioner in supporting the emotional and physical well-being of children before a detailed look at the importance of play is explored later in unit 6. Effective communication, recruitment and appraisals and supervisions are covered in unit 7 making this the ideal course for practitioners moving up the career ladder and embarking on the role of deputy manager or manager of a setting. Finally, unit 8 invites the learner to consider their own professional development and explores training opportunities whilst giving accurate information regarding the writing of an effective curriculum vitae.
